The Brazilian designer Maurício D’Ávila from Geo Luz & Cerâmica will be featured in the Design Week in Milan, which will take place in April 17th to 22ndat the Fuorisalone event. Several Brazilian companies will participate in the Be Brazil exhibition that is organized by APEX (Brazilian Agency for the Promotion of Exports and Investments) with the goal of promoting the country’s talents to the international market.
The idea is to highlight the main attributes of Brazilian artists, such as creativity and innovation in addition to addressing other important themes such as sustainability. For the exhibition, Geo brings several product novelties and launches that are all inspired by the best in Brazil. Among the designer’s pieces are the Gaya and Guanabara pendants and the Riviera lamp, and like any other pieces of the brand, have original and modern shapes. Geo products are also all 100% handmade in ceramics, and have an artistic value in texture, finish, precision and ecological philosophy.
