World Design Summit in Canada receives Brazilian exhibition

Brazilian designer is highlighted once again in international exhibition

The World Design Summit, which took place in Montreal, Canada, from October 16 to 25, has featured new talents from around the world, including Brazilians. Mauricio D’Ávila, designer of Geo Luz & Cerâmica, was one of the highlights with nine luminaires of the brand displayed: Eros, Guanabara, Jua, Phobos, Soleil, Tantrus, Angra, Riviera and Ipanema.

The show highlighted the great professionals of the architecture and decoration of the century. The selection of exhibits consisted of bringing together the six major design disciplines that carry the concepts of innovation through sustainable practices, a more equal society, and cultural diversity. “This shows that Brazil has great visibility in the world, that we have good products and quality, and that we can continue to do better and better. Being among these exhibitors is always a good recognition for Brazilian professionals, “says D’Ávila.

This is not the first time the designer has gained international recognition. The luminaires from Geo Luz & Cerâmica were also featured in Milan Design week and in the Top Design book – which will be released this year.
